Maggie's Coming Apart!
My 1967 Mercury Cougar "Maggie the Merc." as she is being taken apart for restoration, she's finally having progress made! Once started, there will be no stopping, so enjoy the ride as we rebuild her, and watch as a car once left for dead is revived as a car that will be drop dead gorgeous. For those who don't know the story, Maggie was found in a field outside of Calgary, Alberta, where she had resided for 25 years at the time I had found her. I asked the owner if he would sell her, and he said "yes, for $500," and boy were my spirits and energy high from that! I was 12 at the time, and immediately started saving money from Christmas, birthday's and allowance so I could get her. I saved for four years for a car fund, and Maggie sort of slipped my mind, until she came back into my life when I saw this video by ![:iconfastlanedesign:]( "FastLaneDesign")
[link] where Maggie was found and shown to the world for the first time. I immediately called my friends dad who knew the owner to tell him that she was mine, and I was willing to buy her. He told me to go over to the property and talk to the owner. I went back to the property with $1000 (for parts and such) and told him that I had the money to buy her. He told me that someone had offered more money, $1000, and if I wanted her I'd have to pay that soon or she was gone. I was fortunate, as I bought her then and there. A couple months later she was moved from her little mound that had built up around her for all those years, and moved to another spot so we could have better trailer access for her. She has driven, run, and as of today caught fire (to much ether in the carb and she backfired something fierce), and she is my baby.
People have asked me why did I buy such a rusty pile of crap, why I don't just swap a fender onto another Cougar and say she's still with me, or why I don't just buy something in better shape. I could have, but Maggie isn't another Cougar to me, to me there is something more to her than just being my dream car. The moment I first saw her I was in love with her. She screamed out for help, she was a car that deserved a second chance at being on the road, to be back where she belongs, not in a field to rot, not a garage to be hidden, or a museum to be up on display, but the open road that was designed for cars, where she was born to run. She has rust, she has a lot of work that needs to be done to get her there, but so far, I've had the time of my life working on her, learning more and more how to work on older cars, and bonding with her. The day she's back on the road is a day I'll capture and cherish for years to come, and I will make sure to take a ton of videos and photos for you guys as well!

Candied Rust.
mm I need some more broken down playgrounds to romp around in! Colder weather makes my home base of abandoned operations cluttered with homeless ppl *sulks*
Anyhow...this shot is all about Finding uses for the Old.
The wig was going to get trashed- teased it up and revived it.
The latex bodysuit was discolored and going to be trashed as well. I smeared pink lipstick onto the breasts to give it an ombre stain and drizzled liquid latex across it.
And of course, trust me... this broken down movie theater has life in it yet!

Kuroko is the main protagonist of the manga/anime, Kuroko no Basket. Contrary to what one might expect from the title character of a basketball series, he actually does have a very blank expression, a small build for a basketball player, has a disposition that makes him go unnoticed, and seemingly no skills apart from passing. However, these qualities had somehow led to him being included in a team of prodigies that was undefeated when they were in middle school. The series follows Kuroko in high school, when he continues to develop his style of basketball.
I haven't really gotten into any other sports anime since Slam Dunk
(Well, I also watched Buzzer Beater but I don't even remember anything from that one anymore hahaha) People couldn't help comparing Kuroko no Basket with Slam Dunk when it first came out, but I can say that as much as I loved Slam Dunk, I am also enjoying KuroBasu (both anime and manga) immensely right now 
The basketball in Slam Dunk was a bit more realistic, but actually I enjoy the addition of slightly ridiculous and humanly impossible skills of some characters in KuroBasu.A good effect this show has had on me and my friends is that it's motivated us to exercise more by playing basketball

Kuroko no Basket Halloween Shoot Outtakes!During this year's Halloween, my friends and I got together to do a cosplay shoot for a series that we're really into right now Kuroko no Basket. It's quite a popular series now, and as fans ourselves, we can see why. So we're not surprised so many others are crazy about it too.More on this perhaps when we have proper photos to show. Something I look forward to in the manga are the omake at the end of the chapters. So right now, before I even post any proper photos, I'll just be sharing our outtakes from the shoot. The whole lot of us are just goofballs

Duliticola
Duliticola sp. aka "Trilobite beetle" (Coleoptera: Lycidae). Still huge mystery for scientists. Disovered in 19th century, only 2 species were discribed to this day. There are more, but they can't be ID without males. In most cases, only neotenic females are known and possible males, tottaly different, were placed in another genus.
...yup, and entomologists are still not sure what these beetles eat![:)]( ":) (Smile)")
