Cape Marguerites (Dimorphotheca ecklonis)
Cape Marguerites are among my all-time favourites when it comes to flowers: such beautiful corollas and rich colours. I didn't want to alter the natural tones too much here, so I didn't do that much editing on the raw shot, just a bit of sharpening, contrast+brightness, and colour correction.

some of you told me yesterday I did the lip lines too intense, so I'll do them more soft next time, and I'll see how to draw down eyelashes better
still the eyes are my favourite part, I'm so proud of them

I See You
Western Kingbirds are one of my favorite birds, I am glad that they are finally back here in Colorado. They signal spring is officially here and summer isn't far away. They also are not that flighty and can make great subjects to photograph so when I saw this guy perching in the sunlight yesterday morning I knew right away I had to get him. They are so colorful...I love the bright yellow that they exhibit, it stands out so much and is very eye catching.

Night Lagoon
Taken from Sunset Island. Didnt really have a great sunset when I was there but.. I turned around and this great scene was unfolding!
Managed to save a 2 L bottle full of captive hermit crabs by "accidentally" knocking the bottle over.. he he he..
