Purple Clouds - FOR SALE

This is a VINTAGE Japanese Houmongi. Houmongi are semi-formal kimono worn for visiting. They are characterised by their artfully arranged patterns which flow seamlessly across the garment's seams. This kimono likely originates in the Mid to Late Showa Period (1926 - 1989). This piece features purple clouds dyed over a white background. There are also pulownia flowers (kiri) and clouds woven into the silk. This kimono features one crest - an open ivy leaf

I have inspected this kimono in detail, and it has a few subtle stains on the exterior. Unfortunately, there are also some prominent discolourations on both the interior and exterior. Overall, I would rate this kimono in fair to average vintage condition. There are no tears or seam separations. I have circled the damages in the photos above. This garment is 100% silk.

MEASUREMENTS:
145cm - Long (Collar to Hem)
124cm - Arm span
60cm - Width across the back
134cm - Total width of skirt
46cm - Sleeve drop

SIZING:
If you are unsure of how to interpret the kimono's size it is important to know that the length (collar - hem) should be approximately 10cm longer to 10cm shorter than the wearer's overall height (longer is better). This is because the excess length will be folded up at the waist. Meanwhile, the skirt should wrap around the hips a full 1.5 times. The armspan should also reach wrist to wrist on the wearer. In this case, the kimono will ideally fit a woman about 135cm (4'5") - 155cm (5'1") tall, with hips about 90cm (35.5") around. There is some give and take in these measurements though.

This kimono is currently up for auction on Ebay: [link]

Its also up for sale in my Etsy shop: [link]

Black Cat - ACC2013

I thought it would be impossible but I managed to finish Black Cat in time for Albuquerque Comic Con! ^o^
The wonderful :iconmorisa9: shot a few pictures of it for me, this was my favorite!

Yes, the costume was made by myself. The suit is made of a stretch vinyl as well as my gloves, which are equipped with wicked claws! All of the fur was carefully added to the boots, collar, and gloves. I designed my mask to be a hard plastic, covered in latex for the right shine and texture. If you have any other questions, let me know!
