Pirates of the Caribbean: Distant Shores
These costumes of ours have tasted seawater from yet another distant land! The last time we wore these for a location shoot, we were at the Lapu-Lapu Shrine in Mactan, during the time we flew to Cebu. This time we were on distant shores again, someplace with a very similar feel to the location of the fourth Pirates of the Caribbean movie, On Stranger Tides.
Here is a scenic teaser shot to start things off. I miss the smell of the ocean and the sensation of sand crunching under my boots.

About the cosplay:
Here's me and Miguel in the costumes where we are least recognizable! HAHAHA
But yeahhh, I cosplayed Angelica (a.k.a that Spanish chick in the 4th movie to some of you). Hahaha! I know I look nothing like Penelope Cruz, but Miguel really wanted me to join him in PotC cosplay.![:lol:]( "LOL")
I had originally wanted to be Will Turner, but Miguel wanted to do the 4th movie version of Jack, and Will is no longer there. But hey, I've never attempted anyone like Angelica, I enjoyed the fourth movie and liked her costume design (we love Penny Rose) so I was like, YOU KNOW WHAT, LET'S DO IT. I SHALL BE A SPANISH PIRATE LADY THING JUST FOR YOU.

I feel it's important to know how to take care of your skin before you start putting gunk on it! This is really very basic so I think those of you with your own regimens already might be bored by it! You confuse me so much... but being confused is better than being hated. You day, "I just don't know what we're going to do now." I supose you expect me to wait until you figure out what that is? If you have a problem with me you need to adress it. Sometimes you are conniving & instigating, like a girl. I'm sorry I'm not perfect, but you can't be mad at me for that. And ME LYING?!?!??? That one really threw me off. But I really do apologize for whatevermakes me seem distrustful. I'm not. You can trust me with every word. I CAN'T lie anymore. I am incapable of decieving someone I care about so much.
I say I'm confused but maybe that's the wrong word. I just refuse to belive that our time together is over & that from now on what we had is forever out of reach.

Tribute to Firefighters
Another of the shots I took of a truckload of cornstalk bales that caught fire near O'Neill, Nebraska. I took a lot of shots but only a couple are worth processing in my opinion.
I liked this one--the firefighter standing in front of that bright light made his shadow seem larger than life--larger than the fire he was tasked to fight. It seemed to me that as the fire reared it's flaming head that the firefighter grew to meet the challenge and overcome it.
No one was injured in this fore and no real property lost--even the truck, trailer and driver got out only a little singed.
I dedicate this picture to all firefighters who have fallen in the line of thier duty and who have served or are serving. Many are volunteers and some are professional, but it makes no difference. They protect us when things get hot. Thank you!
