December 8th. - Eevee
My Advent Calendar this year! I will post one photo per day of my current pets, no pet will be seen twice!
Species: Felis Silvestris Catus
Common Name: House Cat
Breed: Moggie (mixed breed)
Full Name: Eevee Wii Miss Fluffy
Nick: Eevee
Gender: Female
Age: 12 years
Born: May 24th. 2006
Owned Since: May 24th. 2006
You shouldn't have favourites with your babies, but I do. Eevee is by far my strongest bond. I've had her since birth, born in my lap!! Her mother Ronja, a stray I took in (and kept till she died 11 years old![=( (Sad)]()
) was in such need of comfort during birth that she tried to give birth sitting in my lap! I could see Eevee's tail poking out while she sat in my lap (I managed to make her finish the birth on the floor next to me) I held Eevee in my hands while Ronja gave birth to number two, and then finally managed to lure her to a better spot by moving the babies. Eevee somehow connected to my smell, and would eat with the other kittens and then seek me out even before she opened her eyes. Our bond is so strong she don't like other humans that much, only me. She is also the only pet of my current pets that I've had longer than two years, and the pet I've had the longest of any pets I've ever had (her mother, whom I had for 11 years, is second highest. Eevee surpassed that last year.) She is also my little superstar. She has starred in viral videos "Kitten Composer" (also known as Kitten Keyboard) and "Baby kitten Mom to the rescue", and actually earned me more than I get in a months salary in revenues. Her photos are also quite popular and the Kitten Smile photo is my most sold print ![=) (Smile)]()
I believe Eevee might be part Norwegian Forest cat or Main Coon. She has been an indoor cat all her life and enjoy going out on a leash or even more sitting in a "baby carrier" strapped to me, just looking without doing the walking![;) (Wink)]()
As part of the Calendar I'll also do a little snippet of the same animal and upload to YouTube![=)]( "=) (Smile)")

V2 in South Devon
The returning 'Eastern Envoy' sees LNER V2 No. 60800 'Green Arrow' tackling the 1 in 42 of Hemerdon Bank, which starts at Plympton, east of Plymouth and climbs for just over two and a half miles. It is the start of what is known as 'The South Devon Switchback', consisting of Hemerdon, Rattery and Dainton banks between Plymouth and Newton Abbot.

Ice grass. DSCN0819, with story
As I walked through the freshly fallen ice storm, everything was covered with a layer of ice, while almost clear, you could still see what was covered up.
In a small area, covering a tiny section of the ground, what was boring became quite interesting. That is when you enlarged the picture to many times life size.
There is an old photographer's saying. If you can't make it great, make it big. Size seems to make a difference in how an image is received.
