Sleeping Beauties

So here comes this guy with a press pass and even more
photo equipment then I have, and he says, "Stand back,
I'll wake them up for you"

Now these bats are sleeping really good in their little
boxes, in total darkness and this guy takes out this
huge Speed Light and fires it off. Nothing. He looks
at me and shrugs....

I say, " Stand back Sir, I'll show you how its done", and I used
10 flashes from my Canon that got these kids up and moving
really nicely...Of course with this Canon that means my battery
is now almost dead so I just started shooting and got some
decent shots of these little bats, most of them showing them
trying to crawl under the covers again now that the storm is
over.

Bats may not be your animal of Choice, but these fellows
eat a lot of the bugs at night that might be chewing on you
