Temporary Truce

Taken on the Newtown Opal Fields, Lightning Ridge, N.S.W. on the 10.12.12 at 10:51pm EDST

One of the photos of the two cores sitting out to our W-SW at the time. These storms were stable for around five hours on radar and hardly moved until this stage when they decided to move steadily towards town. The lightning (like the severe storms the night before) was just ridiculous. And also similar to the other storms, the cloud bases were very inflow dominant.
The only drawback to this night was the rain. I had a core sitting out of shot to my left here that was slowing drifting overhead and bringing enough rain to make me call it a night. It got a lot heavier sooner than the night/morning before killing off any chance I had at a few more closer bolts. :shakefist:

A few of the first photos were during sunset so I'll post up something from that time also.
