Taken in the the Medieval walled in town of Gruyere, Switzerland, this lantern overlooked the beautiful forested mountain beyond the walls. The Crane is the emblem of the town, hence its presence here on the lantern. Of course, this is where the Gruyere cheese comes from, not to mention the famous double creme.
