We can hardly hope to shine
And the sun
Could eventually be outshone

"Kagema (陰間) is a historical Japanese term for traditional young male escort/prostitute. Kagema were often apprentice Noh/Kabuki actors and catered to a mixed male and female clientele. Kagema who were not affiliated with an actual theater could be hired through male tea houses/brothels specializing in Kagema. These institutions were known as Kagemajaya (陰間茶屋). Kagema typically charged much more than female escorts (Geisha/芸者) of equivalent status, and did a healthy trade into the mid-19th century. Kagema themselves were also immensely popular with the merchant class and wealthy elite of the Edo period."

Introducing another one of my latest projects -- Inoue Ayumu 「井上歩」.
Ayumu is a young Kagema of the Edo period. As a child, he was sold by his parents in order to make ends meet. He worked as only a servant, but as he grew older, his potential as a Kagema became more and more evident by his maturing beauty. He works in theater and is now one of the most sought after Kagema in his field. He has a very mild-mannered, composed and professional demeanor for his work, but also very elegant and seductive. Underneath his decorative exterior, he has a very kind and lonely heart, and there is a deep sadness and longing within him.
This boy (yes, he is a boy XD) was another long project for me. But so worth it. I'm just completely in love with his finished look.
I also have been making him a series of different Noh/Kabuki inspired masks. This one is a famous frowning "Ko-Omote" mask. Creepy, right?
Another hybrid, he's an Elfdoll Sooah on a modded Luts JDF boy body. The neck needed a good mount of dremeling and sanding in order to make this hybrid work...but the proportions look amazing now. I would have gone with a different body originally (B&G, etc) since they tend to already have smaller proportions, but I saw this body on the marketplace for cheap (due to some easily fixable damage) and decided to buy it instead. It's super high quality, and after a couple mods, poses great. I'm very happy.
Aside from all the body mods, I've given him a face-up, full body-blushing and a tattoo on his back. <3 AND! I will never have to buy this boy clothes...seriously. I have a whole box full of GORGEOUS authentic attire by kimono seamstress Yamaguchi Mariko... which I have collected over the years, but never had anyone to dress in them. <_______< Hahaha, my craziness pays off. I think, LOL.
Enjoy~

Asuka's break time 7
It's tough being an Eva pilot! Sometimes a girl just has to take an afternoon to relax and have some tea in the sun.
This week's set is a re-do of one of my first shoots with *everage, my Asuka sundress. I purchased this cosplay from a booth at AN, and recently bought the wig. I will be styling it a lot better for Asuka soon, as I will be doing another surprise shoot for her
The pictures were of course taken by the ever awesome be sure to check out his page, he'll be posting pics of me up there tonight as well!

Yin Yang Pool
Mannum Falls
South Australia
I think of this location 1 hour from my house a little piece of the Kimberley's that has been misplaced closer to home. Thought I would like to go to Karijini, the logistics with a child might be a little difficult until she grows up a little more. Last week's morning foray as part of a project 52 was up to Mannum Falls where even after recent rains, the flow was quite minimal. Thankfully, it was enough to give this splash pool a little pattern here and there.
I've also recently finished our NZ trip video (*and sydney) - here's the high res version on youtube!

Bound in Darkness
This one is a bit different to my usual work, this one is about how sometimes i feel that many things keep me bound from even trying to reach my goals and dreams in life. I know it does sound a bit dramatic but it is the way i feel sometimes.
Taken at shutter speed of 1/400 and f/14 ISO 100 and used a spedlite on top of the flower to get that look after trying over and over for many times.
