Tour Guide Navel
I went to a museum the other day, which reminded me of an experience that happened a few years ago. One of my college classes took a trip to a museum for our course, and while we were there we had a specific tour guide to show us around. She looked to be only a few years older than me and she was really cute, like a nerdy-librarian type of girl. It's been a few years so I can't describe her exactly, but she had glasses and her hair was done up in a bun. She was also wearing a fairly professional outfit - blouse, cardigan, high-waisted pants, and flats - but her blouse was just a little bit on the short side. When she raised an arm to point out an exhibit, or started gesturing while she talked, her blouse would rise up just enough to show a peek of her belly and belly button, which I remember being a shallow innie.
Of course, you can imagine I was distracted by that for the entire tour. (Not to mention, I've always like the idea of teachers, tour guides, secretaries, and other professional-type workers showing their belly buttons in official-looking outfits.)
Without further ado, this photo is inspired by that experience.

Peaceful
I have no idea why this is so messed up, after the white balance adjustment I can't make it look like it really was. There was clouds and sun and partially blue sky was visible. And that house is red but here it looks like black. What I finally did was I added a lot of light to it and here you see the result.

A moment
A moment. Do you ever look back and notice how fast the time flew by? Do you think about what you did... And what you didn't do? Do you question your decisions?
For me, time has always been very important. If you use it well, it can give you so much. But remember - time is a moment. It is the present. Many of us forget to live in that moment called "the present". One of my New Year's resolutions is to live in the moment, more than I have been so far.

Lights On The Sea
A thing I love about these lanterns is the little branch of fake coral that's hanging from them, recalling Alghero's famous coral.
These decorations were so well received by the denizens and tourists alike that they were made permanent all through the historic center of the city: this photo was taken last week, a year after the initial installation.
Some of them had to be resored due to weathering, but it seems like they've become a beautiful permanent feature of Alghero!
