This girl is part of the last litter that was hand-raised because the mother couldn't take care of her cubs. As such, she and her brother still respond in a way to people and are looking at them for entertainment. You can play hide and seek with them (sort of) through two sets of fencing and a row of hedges. But it's fun to see their instincts kick in like that. They might be raised by people, but triggered just right, they're very much wild animals!

Current status: Endangered

…Its Latin addition “kotiya” is a Sinhala name, but has been often wrongly translated as “Tiger” due to incorrect information, mistaking Leopards for “diviya”, the Sinhala term for small wild cats; since then, “kotiya” has been used for Tigers, and “diviya” for Leopards.
